Upcoming Android Mobiles To Look Out For

Android is taking over the phone market here in India and its open source system is generating a lot of hype. New handsets are being unloaded at our doorsteps on a very regular basis and here are some of the handsets that we should be seeing in the coming months.

  • The Optimus is LG’s new range of Smartphones and the first one that will hit the Indian market in an official capacity is the GT540.
  • Sony Ericsson decided to show a little compassion and scale the handset down a bit. So enter the Xperia X8.
  • It’s been a bit of a wait but word is that Garmin/ASUS will be bringing their A50 handset to the country loaded with maps for quite a few of our cities.
  • HTC is faring quite well in the Indian market and their new handsets are making their way here on a regular basis. Next up is the Aria. Feature-wise, it’s going to be not very different from the slightly higher end devices.
  • Motorola doesn’t tend to be very conventional with their handset designs and the FlipOut is testament to that. Employing the square type, QWERTY keypad slider or ‘swinger’ style design that seems to be ‘in’ thing these days, the FlipOut allows you to use either its touchscreen or the keypad for data entry.
